BUILD INDEPENDENCE AND SELF ESTEEM
The Dominick Della Rocca Summer Camp Scholarship Fund provides an opportunity for children with special needs to experience independence. This builds their self-esteem. At the same time, it gives the family a much-needed respite and allows them to regroup so that they can continue to meet the needs of their special child.
This grant sends a strong message to the families that they are not alone in facing these challenges.
Each child awarded the scholarship attends a sleep-away camp of their choice for one to three weeks. Because of the success of this project, the Community Mayors is committed to its expansion

Since the incorporation of Community Mayors in 1956, we have sponsored a year-long calendar of events for the children. Everything we do is only possible through the generosity of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and other organizations. We thank you for your continued support and here’s to a brighter future!
