Over the years, the Community Mayors has served the needs of millions of children with disabilities by providing opportunities for them to experience and enjoy a diverse array of events and activities tailored to their unique needs. Through the efforts of all those who give their time, energy, and financial support, The Community Mayors is able to make a positive difference in the lives of the children it serves.

EVENTS
Operation Santa Claus at JFK Airport, Port Authority Hangar #19: 4,000 Children with Special abilities are entertained and served snacks & refreshments, receive toys, and watch Macy’s Santa Claus arrive waiving from an airplane via Delta Air Lines while they celebrate the season. It is a spectacular experience.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (PAST)
Madison Square Garden: Special children are entertained by the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Greatest Show on Earth; toys are distributed.
Deno's Wonder Wheel, Coney Island, Brooklyn: Special children enjoy games, rides and clowns at Brooklyn’s Coney Island, Deno's Wonder Wheel donated for the day by Dennis & Steve Vourderis.
Adventurer's Family Entertainment Center: Special children enjoy games, rides, clowns.
The New York Aquarium, Coney Island, Brooklyn: Special kids from all boroughs tour the flora and fauna of the sea world. There is a private show and a toy for every child.
The Halloween Hayride, Floyd Bennett Air Field: Historic Aircraft Restoration Project for a hands on experience. The children also enjoy a Hayride and other Halloween themed activities
The Bronx Zoo: Special children from the Bronx and Manhattan spend a fun-filled day at this world renown facility.
The Prospect Park Zoo, Brooklyn: Special children enjoy visiting the animals and going on rides.
The Brooklyn & Queens Botanic Gardens: This event is especially enjoyed by the blind children. They are individually guided by the Botanic Gardens’ staff on how to pot a small plant, which they get to take home.
The Staten Island Zoo: Children with special abilities enjoy the animals, clowns and a fun filled day.
Athletes and Kids at St. John's University: This is a hands on experience for the children to learn about team sports and get to participate on the court/field both individually and in small groups with Scholar-Athletes.
The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum: Special children visit the famous aircraft carrier and experience an exciting day of “living history,” enjoy a movie, and are entertained by clowns.
Luna Park, Coney Island: Special Children enjoy the rides, clowns and games in Brooklyn's Coney Island.
Earth Day: Students from Poly Prep Country Day School assist our Children with Special Needs as they tend to the Earth by weeding and planting shrubs and small trees. All supervised by our wonderful volunteers.
